Tesoros Escondidos (2019)
Alex Mercado, one of the most representative musicians in the contemporary Mexican jazz scene, is back to release his new album “Tesoros Escondidos”, in which he performs unpublished works by fourteen great Mexican composers that have marked the history of the jazz genre in Mexico – spanning three generations of creators and a wide range of styles and personalities – with the purpose of rescuing and releasing these hidden creations that for some reason or another were not captured in an album during the time of their creation.
